Dos años han transcurrido desde que las empresas de crucero de todo el mundo decidieron poner una pausa en sus operaciones. Con menos casos de Covid-19, los dos puertos del Caribe Mexicano nuevamente han revivido.
El Wonder of the Seas es el crucero más grande del mundo y ha visitado esta semana Cozumel y Mahahual, el primero y segundo puerto más importantes de México.
Las primeras horas del martes de esta semana, unos 10 mil turistas han descendido en el muelle Costa Maya, en la localidad turística del sur de Quintana Roo.
Más de 4,000, casi la mitad, han bajado del Wonder of the Seas, los demás lo han hecho del Virgin Voyages y del Carnival Pride.
Un día antes, el barco más grande del sector ha estado en la isla de Cozumel, un pedazo de tierra en el medio del mar con blancas playas que le han permitido mantener el interés de cientos de miles de viajeros del mundo, aún en medio de la pandemia.
Tanto Cozumel como Mahahual han enfrentado etapas difíciles a causa del Covid-19. A diferencia de otros destinos como Cancún y la Riviera Maya, cuyos turistas llegan por avión, los de ellos lo hacen a bordo de esos gigantes del océano.
